Djibouti–Ambouli International Airport (IATA: JIB, ICAO: HDAM) is a joint civilian/military-use airport. It serves the national capital, Djibouti City. The airport is located approximately 6 kilometers (4 miles) from the city center. It occupies an area of 10 square kilometers. The airport includes a V.I.P terminal for prime ministers and presidents.

Djibouti Landing Permission, PPR:
Landing permission from Djibouti Civil Aviation Authority DCAA is required for all flights when the aircraft landing and coming to JIB civil commercial apron, allow 72 hours min notice for your application. Any change of schedule or flight details, DCAA should be notified. The permit application must include the receiving party name and local contact details in Djibouti, Lead Pax name and purpose of visit. Medevac flight application must include patient passport copy and medical report.
If the flight operation is intended to the military apron camp Lemonnier, military PPR must be obtained from Camp Lemonnier Airbase admin.
Overnight & Airport Security
Parking overnight is allowed by the Civil Aviation Authorities as long as your flight schedule is approved by DCAA. Security is high at JIB / HDAM Airport.
Ground Handling, Fueling, Catering
Ground Handling Services can be provided for any aircraft type from small business jets to AN-124 and big freighters. Jet-A-1 Fuel is available at civil side. Catering can be arranged from 5 stars hotel by Sonic Jet Djibouti representatives. Please note that AVGAS is not available at Djibouti Airport. Private VIP lounge is available.
Crew GenDec and Visa on arrival:
All crew members can enter on GenDec for 72 hours, visa on arrival can be arranged for most nationalities.
